Artist Statement​
I make art to process and reflect on the everyday—from the layered chaos of motherhood, to daily routines and rituals, to the quiet ache of health struggles, and the ongoing work of self-understanding. I’m drawn to the weight of small moments and the stories they hold. Painting offers a way to pause, pay attention, and find meaning in both joy and struggle.
Though I enjoy experimenting with different materials, I always come back to oil painting on wood panels. Each piece begins with a feeling or experience, but I rarely plan the outcome. I work intuitively, letting the process lead, responding to what emerges along the way and building layered surfaces that invite closer looking. My paintings are abstract but personal, leaving space for interpretation. Titles serve as gentle entry points, offering a thread of connection without prescribing what to see or feel, and inviting viewers to find their own meaning.
